Warming to the reality of war; Syria, Iran progress

On the Syrian front;
- Shelling continues in Syria as protesters plan to take to the streets.

- U.N. General Assmebly passes anti-Syria resolution (non-binding).

- 56 killed in Syria as Assad regime ignores U.N. resolution.

- Groundhog year: cooking Syria 'Libya-style.'

- West plots in Middle East to spark nuke war.

Now on Iran;
- Is a U.S. war with Iran inevitable?

- Media steers world toward disaster.

From Pakistan;
- Bomb blast kills 25 in NW Pakistan

- ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) accuses Pakistan of supporting Afghan militants.

Now in some better news from the home front. The Virginia House has voted 96-4 to nullify the NDAA bill (indefinite detention)! This is a guaranteed right of states via the 10th ammendment of the U.S. Constitution. This is a growing movement in the U.S., as the federal gov't is continuing to stretch its laws beyond the restraints naturally imposed by the Constitution. Virginia's nullification means that the federal gov't cannot legally carry out enforcement of this bill within the state.

Now for quakes of 4.5+ magnitude; 2/16 had a total of 7, with a 5.1 being in Mauritius, Reunion Island region. 2/17 had 12, and a top of 5.3 in western Xizang; the Tibet region of China.
