Update: 7/4/2011

In the past days I have seen the following; "Syrian Forces Surround Rebel City." This is but another report of alleged suppression by an oppressive gov't, which could be used to justify military intervention.

There was a more significant report that accused a Pakistani senior officer of setting up a suicide bombing within Afghanistan, which killed a local commander of the Afghan Army. This would lead to further accusations against Pakistan as a terrorist state, and the justification of using military force against them; possibly even in siezing their nuclear weapons to allegedly keep them from falling into "terrorist" hands.

I saw another report that Libya's Ghaddafi threatened retalliatory strikes within Europe if NATO bombing does not stop. Just think about how skewed our world-view has become, due to the state-controlled media! This article was meant to portray Ghaddafi as a "bad guy" to the world; but what would we do in his position? NATO is ruthlessly attacking his country and killing its citizens (bombing has even killed his grandchildren), so how would you respond, or get them to stop? NATO blatantly refused negotiations which were freely offered by Libya from the start. So much for us being "peacekeepers", huh?

No, Ghaddafi's reaction is simply an age-old response by an invaded country to its invaders. I remember an example of this as far back as when the fledgling Roman Empire was battling Carthage for supremacy.

There are signs that NATO may be reconsidering its ground invasion of Libya; let us pray that by God's hand,  that this may be so.
