Yesterday in the news, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton was warning Syria's king that "Time is running out." Later on it was reported that 9 protesters were killed. Remember that America has moved warships off the coast of Syria, and that armed intervention in that nation could lead to conflicts with its allies Lebanon and Iran. Moves by Iran could also lead to a strike by Israel against them. Things are by no means certain at this moment, but it is another flashpoint that eventually can contribute to WWIII.
Today there was also the reminders of international tensions in the South China Sea. China is becoming more aggressive in its water territorial disputes with nations such as Japan, India, and the Phillipines. The areas under these waters are rich in deposits of oil and natural gas. China is set to unveil its first aircraft carrier next week.
I was also reminded of another hotbed issue; rare earth metals. These metals are used in our high-tech devices like computers & cell phones, and our military is heavily dependant upon them for their weapons' systems. China supplies 95% of the world's rare earth metals! They can hold nations economically hostage by refusing the sale of these.
Yes, it would be possible for the U.S. to produce its own supply of these metals; but it takes time to develop this technology and extraction process, precisely because these metals are so rare. Experts estimate that it would take us 15 years until we could be producing and supplying these metals for ourselves. I think we should get started, don't you? Yet for the global elite, WWIII is the goal, so they will take all the points of conflict that they can get!
Remember that this site is not at all meant to be a countdown to "doomsday." We need to get the word out, and get people informed. As Webster Tarpley put it, "It's time to get active, or get radioactive." Tell your senators and congressmen to stop the funding for these illegal wars (right now, especially Libya). Press for the impeachment of President Obama, as he is in violation of the War Powers Act of the Constitution. We must stop this insane killing, and work to prevent the greater disasters from befalling us.
We voted for a President, who vowed that he would uphold the Constitution- not a dictator, who thinks he is beyond it. To sit idly by and do nothing is to be complicit with murder.
