No holiday for the warmongerers: support Ron Paul!

From the Syrian front;
- More than 30 killed, 100 wounded in blasts at security buildings, Syria says.
- Twin car bombs in Syria signal worsening violence.

Link: Obama is prepared for Iran war.

- Wave of bombings in Iraq capital kills 69, wounds 185 amid political unrest. (The U.S. may well be behind it!)

- 2 Killed, 20 wounded as Yemen forces fire at protesters in Sana'a.

- Israeli tanks invade South Gaza.

In eartquakes, after a couple fairly quiet days, 8 quakes of 5 magnitude or greater hit on 12/23. Four of those were on New Zealand's South Island; 5.9, 5.3, 5.8, and 5.0. Another quake was located in the Kermadec Islands, which is just Northeast of New Zealand. I plan on doing a quake overview once the new year rolls around.

On the home front, 2 linked articles;

- Military to designate U.S. citizens as enemies.

- Why Ron Paul can win.

STOP THE WARS.

In World War I, a cease-fire was agreed upon over the Christmas holiday; I presume this was 1917, but if some of these facts are askew, please forgive me; it's been many years since I heard this told on Paul Harvey news.
As both sides took time to observe the holiday, an American captain tentatively walked over to the German front lines, making contact with their officer in charge; he gave the German officer his pocket-knife as a gift, and wished him a Merry Christmas. It wasn't long before both side were interacting; exchanging gifts, singing carols and the like.

Eventually the cease-fire ended, and both sides were ordered to renew the conflict; they refused! For 3 full weeks the fighting stopped altogether, but eventually pressure from the leaders won out. At first, they began by just lobbing mortar rounds harmlessly overhead, but the fighting finally started again.

Nobody, but nobody in their right minds should want war; not for themselves, and not for anyone else, either. We have touted ourselves to be a "Christian" nation, but war & violence have no foundation in a Christian life. Why, then, are we allowing our leaders to violently destroy so many millions of lives both at home and abroad? Did you know that suicide has been killing more soldiers than those that die in battle?

This is why we must support Ron Paul. He is, head and shoulders above, favored by military personnel. And he is the only candidate who will stop the wars. Yet we must also pray fervently for him, because his foes will try to silence his voice at all costs. In these important primaries, and in the presidential elections (if they occur), support Ron Paul in the best way that you can.
