The nation of Turkey sent representatives to meet with members of the opposition Syrian National Council. Definitely a provacative move. Then later on the same day, a blast (assumed a bomb) killed 7 in SE Turkey.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has now deployed troops along its border with Afghanistan: supposedly with an eye to combatting militants.
